John Mason
Chief Executive Officer

John joined as CEO in April 2024 to drive the next phase of growth focused on enabling our customers through a data first, digitally enabled trading experience.
Prior to PPL, John led successful transformative initiatives building exceptional experience of data platforms and operations. His experience spans several financial service sectors having previously been Group Head of Platform for the London Stock Exchange, running the European Enterprise Solutions for Bloomberg and owning Thomson Reuters’ response to MiFiDII and other regulatory initiatives.

Andy Woolley
Chief Platform Officer

Andy been at PPL since 2015. His responsibilities are wide ranging, including Product Owner of the next gen platform, the life cycle of PPL service, investment planning and developing the platform in accordance with Board agreed strategy.
Andy’s background is in business consulting – he has more than 30 years’ experience in the London insurance market and has held roles at QBE, JLT, Marsh and Lloyd’s, among others. This has provided him with a peerless understanding of the workings of (re)insurance processes, market dynamics and the support needed by firms as they transition to use e-placing.
When he’s not working, Andy is a season ticket holder for Brighton & Hove Albion Football club.

Mark Griffith
Chief Technology Officer

Mark joined as CTO in January 2024 responsible for all aspects of the technology used in PPL platforms, current and future. This includes technical and data architecture, technology selection, and ensuring that the non-functional requirements of the current and future platform are met. Prior to joining PPL, Mark was Delivery Director at Ebix Europe leading product management, change delivery and operational service delivery for the portfolio of enterprise SaaS and hosted solutions.

Colin O'Malley
Chief Operating Officer

Colin is Head of Operations and has been at PPL since its beginning, having been brought in to get the platform off the ground. Colin has wide-ranging experience across the insurance spectrum in underwriting, operations and IT, including significant experience of setting up e-trading platforms within the insurance industry, as well as outside it. He has previously worked for Hiscox, Ace and Lloyd’s.

Tanya Duckworth
Chief Product Officer

Tanya joined PPL early in 2021 as the Market Solutions Lead and is focused on advancing PPL’s digitalisation journey. Her role includes working with Future at Lloyd’s on the implementation of placing data standards, market engagement for PPL integrations, and overseeing the extraction of data from risk contracts using AI.
Tanya’s background is in services in the technology sector, most recently having worked for Exari, a contract building and contract lifecycle management company. Prior to this she worked for Adsensa, the market leader in contract data discovery and capture software, where she worked with Lloyd’s to design and implement a market-wide contract certainty checking solution.
She also led an initiative to extract data from MRCs using a combination of AI and business rules.

Amit Arora
Chief Finance Officer

Amit began supporting PPL back in 2014, whilst he was working as Aon’s EMEA Head of Sourcing. He is now PPL’s Chief Finance Officer where he has responsibility for PPL’s finance function as well as all legal, commercial and regulatory matters. Over the years, Amit has worked with market firms to ensure third party contracts for market services remain compliant with changes in the regulatory and legislative landscape.
Amit has held market roles for a number of years – he started in 2015 as Head of Sourcing for the LM TOM programme and then went on to become Head of Sourcing for LIMOSS in 2018 before formally joining PPL early in 2020. Prior to adopting market roles, Amit held sourcing roles for a number of firms across a number of different industries. These include Deloitte, Sainsbury’s, HSBC, Citigroup and Aon.

Simon Bailey
Chief Revenue Officer

Simon joined as Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer in December 2024, accountable for driving client-led growth. In this role, he is responsible for brand and marketing, acquisition, account development and the take to market strategy for new capabilities.
Prior to joining PPL, Simon led Marketing and Distribution functions across a range of financial service sectors, including time with abrdn, Standard Life, AEGON and BUPA. During this period Simon successfully led growth programmes including brand strategy, new market entry, key account management, CRM and data analytics.
