Streamlined process with an enhanced user interface enables brokers to fast-track single contract renewals

PPL has today announced the launch of its new Express Renewal functionality.  The new fast-track process makes it quicker and easier for brokers to renew risks on PPL. In pre-launch testing, the time taken to process a renewal on PPL was significantly improved.

This new development builds upon the Express Contract functionality launched in September and results in an enhanced end-to-end user experience through a streamlined process, automatic data population and simplified navigation.

Highlights of the combined new Express Renewal functionality are:

  • Fast track single contract renewals containing up to six sections;
  • All expiring risk data and markets copied forward;
  • Inception & Expiry dates automatically updated;
  • New navigation structure with consistent signage and calls to action, helping brokers to:
    • Identify which process steps to take
    • See where they are in the process and what is needed next
    • Save and return to work easily

Speeding up the renewal process was prioritised by PPL’s Market Governance Committees, developed in collaboration with broker users and informed through structured end user research across several firms.

Andy Woolley, Chief Design Officer of PPL said:

“In addition to building new value add capabilities, PPL are committed to enhancing the user experience across core platform functionality. Express Renewal functionality is a key step on this journey and introduces a streamlined process, housed within an intuitive user interface. This latest development reduces the time it takes brokers to handle renewal business, lessens the risks associated with the re-keying and better supports platform users of all abilities through simple linear navigation.

We have put in place a broad range of pre-launch and post-launch support for our 10,000 broker platform users. Over 500 users have attended training webinars and we have seen a significant spike in consumption of support material on the PPL Learning portal. I have been delighted with the positive response we have received to date.

I’d like to thank those brokers involved in the designs of this new functionality and we look forward to releasing further enhancements throughout 2025.”
