Placing Platform Limited (PPL) is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Technology Award at the prestigious British Insurance Awards – the winner of which will be announced at the awards ceremony on July 4th, 2018.
The judging panel is looking for evidence that the application of technology has enhanced the quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of business administration, delivering greater efficiency, better customer service and lower error rates.
The creation by three market associations (IUA, LIIBA and the LMA) of PPL in 2016, the world’s first electronic placement platform for insurance, was a piece of unprecedented co-operation across the market.
Live today across almost all classes of business, with 31 brokers and 95 carriers signed up, PPL has already bound over 15,000 risks since first being released. It is designed to make London an easier place to do business and remove unnecessary paper-based administration – leaving time for valued added face-to-face negotiation.
